Boho-Chic: Beach Wedding in the City - Wedding Inspiration Shoot
I’ve been missing the hot weather and the beach lately. It’s that much harder when you’re living in the city and you feel the need to get away.
The winter in Canada always feels long and dragged out. This style shoot was a way of embracing that need to “get out” of the city and go somewhere beautiful and hot when you can’t. It was also a way of bringing drama and grace together in a harmonious way. I wanted to create something with impact and a sense of femininity. This bohemian-chic style shoot was the answer.
Hard lines against soft textures and bold colours against neutral shades are good at achieving this “dancing” of the two styles. Neutral tans and lilacs were paired with bold charcoal; gold and copper accents were sprinkled throughout and dark florals set the scene.
Candles in the sand and flowy fabrics on our bride with dramatic makeup give a sense of airiness and relaxation. This is a beach ceremony after all - no reason not to embrace the lake breeze!
